Approved currency refers to the currency in which payment is possible via PG. For instance, if the approved currencies are KRW(₩) and USD($), customers can only pay in these currencies. Unapproved currencies, like Japanese Yen (¥), are charged in *Base Currency after applying the exchange rate. The types of approved currencies are determined during the contract with PG and cannot be arbitrarily modified in the StepPay portal. If modification is needed, please ask to manager via ChannelTalk.
*Refer to 'Base Currency' section in '3 Global Sales Settings'
3. Global Sales Settings
Once Global Payment is activated, 'Setup Delivery Options' menu becomes inactive. Therefore, sales settings for South Korea must also be set up in ‘Set up overseas sales’ menu.
Base Currency

2) Once Base Currency is set, it cannot be changed again via StepPay portal.
☝️ What is Base Currency
Base Currency is the standard currency for products and total sales.
For example:
Base Currency: KRW
Product Sale Countries: USA, Korea, Japan
Under these conditions, sales in USD or JPY in the dashboard are converted to Base Currency (KRW) using the exchange rate.
When creating a product, its base price is set in Base Currency (e.g., KRW 10,000). If the product is sold in other countries without a specific price in their currency, the base price is converted using the current exchange rate (e.g., USD 8, JPY 1,000).
Base Currency is different from Approved Currency. Even if Base Currency is set to KRW, payment in other currencies like USD or JPY is possible if the PG has approved these currencies in advance.
